About This Site The Beginning by Tweetie, Webmaster This site was set up in October 1999 by Michael Hamilton as a backdoor for the Pogo Euchre players. Back then it was called 'The Euchre Players Club'. One month later a real domain name was purchased (www.euchreclub.com) and the site was moved to a new server (it was already getting 10,000 hits per day). The Euchre Club was one of the first backdoors for games on the internet. It can be found on every major search engine, usually in the top 3 search results. After a short period of abandonment, the site changed ownership. In October of 2000 the site was purchased by 'Tweetie' (Mama Euchre). In July of 2001, a Yahoo backdoor was added. On December 30, 2001, the first issue of The Euchre Tips Newsletter is published. Recently we began to use the Newsletter tool available on our league site (MyLeague/Cases Ladder) to send out the mass emails with the monthly Euchre Tips newsletter. To receive the free Euchre Tips, just join the Euchre Freaks League. You don't have to be an active member to receive it. Inactive accounts will be automatically purged after 255 days. In July of 2003, the Euchre Club took over an abandoned online Cases league by the name of 'Euchre Freaks League'. Having 400 inactive members to start with, the league quickly grew to over 3000 members by January of 2004 making it the largest Euchre league in the world! The league plays their tournaments in the "Orange Roughy" Advanced Euchre room at Pogo.com. All are welcome! Future PlansVery soon the site will me moved to a new server once again. The main goal is to make the site informative with euchre tips and strategies and to assure a fast and easy site to navigate through.
